Mixed hypercholesterolemia (Type IIb)
Cardiovascular prevention in patients at high risk of a first accident
Indications TAHOR-
Hypercholesterolemia
TAHOR is indicated as an adjunct to a diet to reduce high levels of total cholesterol (Chol-T), LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B and triglycerides in adults, adolescents and children aged 10 years or older with primary hypercholesterolemia including familial hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous) or mixed hyperlipidemia (corresponding to Fredrickson classification types IIa and IIb), when the response to diet or other non-pharmacological treatments is not not sufficient.
TAHOR is also indicated to reduce T-Chol and LDL-C levels in adults with homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia in addition to other lipid-lowering treatments (including LDL apheresis) or if such treatments are unavailable.
Cardiovascular disease prevention
Prevention of cardiovascular events in adult patients at high risk of having a first cardiovascular event (see section 5.1) in addition to the correction of other risk factors.
