SPECIAFOLDINE is usually prescribed for:
Deficiency of folic acid intake
Macrocytic anemia due to folic acid deficiency
Chronic disorders of intestinal absorption
Prevention of anomalous closure of the neural tube in the event of a desire for pregnancy
Indications SPECIAFOLDINE-
Macrocytic anemia due to folic acid deficiency.
Chronic disorders of intestinal absorption whatever their origin.
Intake deficiencies: malnutrition, alcoholism.
Pregnancy, in case of proven deficiency. In women who have already had children with neural tube defects (spina bifida), some authors have observed that periconceptional folic supplementation of 5 mg per day in the month preceding and the 3 months following the conception reduced the recurrence of malformation risk for subsequent pregnancies.
Nevertheless, prenatal diagnosis in search of this type of malformation remains essential.
