Active ingredient

Rosuvastatin

 

CRESTOR is usually prescribed for:

Hypercholesterolemia Type IIa

Dyslipidemia type IIb

Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia

Cardiovascular prevention

Indications CRESTOR-

Treatment of hypercholesterolemia


Adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years or over with pure hypercholesterolemia (type IIa including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia) or mixed dyslipidemia (type IIb) in addition to diet when the response to diet and other non-pharmacological treatments (exercise, weight loss) is not enough.


Adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years or over with homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia, in addition to diet and other lipid-lowering treatments (including LDL apheresis) or when these treatments are not appropriate.


Prevention of cardiovascular events


Prevention of major cardiovascular events in patients considered to be at high risk of having a first cardiovascular event (see section 5.1) Pharmacodynamic properties, in addition to the correction of other risk factors
