The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs

The 4 FDA-approved antivirals for the flu are: Oseltamivir phosphate (Tamiflu), zanamivir (Relenza), peramivir (Rapivab), and baloxavir carboxyl (Xofluzza)
