My retina remains fully attached. Yay!
My macula is scarred - not cool.
The scarring appears to be strippable. That is, removable, by my retinal surgeon. As he says, it's like taking Scotch tape off a Kleenex without damaging the Kleenex. And he's already done it on my eye before.
So - I'm working with the scheduler and insurance company to have the surgery mid-December. The plan is to also remove the silicone oil and Perfluoron, replace with saline, and monitor closely. If problems arise, put oil back in and wait.
I'll post when I get a surgery date. I hope it's the last one for some time to come.
PS Last day of my forties. Tomorrow is a new day!
