There's no sure way to prevent depression. However, these strategies may help.

Take steps to control stress, to increase your resilience and boost your self-esteem.

1.Reach out to family and friends, especially in times of crisis, to help you weather rough spells.

لازم تتواصل مع العائلة او الأصدقاء خاصة في أوقات الازمات والاوقات الصعبة عشان يساعدوك

2.Get treatment at the earliest sign of a problem to help prevent depression from worsening.

Medications

5 عائلات وهم :

SSRIs, SNRIs, TCAs, MAOIs and Atypical antidepressants.

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs)

include:

citalopram , escitalopram , fluoxetine , paroxetine , sertraline  and vilazodone 

Serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs)

include : duloxetine , venlafaxine , desvenlafaxine  and levomilnacipran .

Atypical antidepressants :

They include: 

bupropion , mirtazapine , nefazodone, trazodone and vortioxetine .

Tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs)

They include: 

imipramine , nortriptyline , amitriptyline, doxepin, trimipramine , desipramine  and protriptyline  

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). 

They include: 

tranylcypromine , phenelzine  and isocarboxazid  .

Selegiline :

a newer MAOI that sticks on the skin as a patch, may cause fewer side effects than other MAOIs do. 

معلومة مهمة : 

MAOI can't be combined with SSRIs

اوعى توقف الدواء فجأة الا باستشارة الطبيب

Stopping treatment abruptly or missing several doses can cause withdrawal-like symptoms, and quitting suddenly may cause a sudden worsening of depression. Work with your doctor to gradually and safely decrease your dose.

وإلإ سوف تظهر شبه اعراض الانسحاب

Antidepressants and pregnancy
