Gastric and duodenal ulcers are two types of peptic ulcer

. Gastric ulcers form in the lining of the stomach, while a duodenal ulcer forms in the lining of the duodenum, which is the upper part of the small intestine. A person can have one or both types of ulcers at the same time.

● Symptoms of gastric and duodenal ulcers are almost similar, most common symptom is a burning pain in the stomach, other symptoms may include: bloating, nausea, vomiting or indigestion.

● Causes can be due to bacterial infections such as H. pylori infection or long-term use of certain medications and other-the-counter pain relievers.

● Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers depends on the cause, and involves taking medications to reduce the amount of acid in the stomach or protect your stomach lining and duodenum.
