 A stroke happens when the blood flow is cut off to part of your brain. There are some tips that you can do to protect yourself against strokes & lower your stroke risk such as:


1. Lower your blood pressure: One of the main causes of stroke is high blood pressure, as it doubles your stroke risk if its not managed well.


2. Manage your blood sugar levels, as having high blood sugar can damage your blood vessels over time & making clots more likely to form inside.


3. Stop smoking, as it accelerates clot formation in a couple of different ways and raises blood pressure.


4. Eat healthy food and stay away from saturated fats and eat fresh fruits & vegetables everyday.


5. Exercise regularly as it helps you avoid being overweight and lower blood pressure.
